This is a very interesting piece. There is a wealth of information and some absolutely superb camera work and footage. It is a gold mine. But it is impossible to watch. I don’t understand how anybody can watch this straight through. The whole 40 minutes. I couldn’t. I had the advantage of knowing what I was looking for so I could fast forward and rewind. I watched probably 15 minutes of it in total. What is wrong with Elon? Why can he not talk faster? He looked like he was trying to decide if he should just lay down and go to sleep the entire thing. What is happening? The whole thing makes me feel like we are all living inside a Philip K. Dick novel. Read the first 50 pages of The Three Stigmata of Eldritch Palmer and tell me that isn’t exactly what is being proposed here. And he is pleading for people to be convinced that going to Mars is the greatest thing anybody alive and listening to him could aspire to. It is really quite funny. Is he serious? He does a poor job selling it. But even if you buy it the fact of the matter is the rockets keep exploding. Tricky, I know. But also awkward. More about my relationship with Elon some other time…

This next one is really good. For people interested in cameras and photography. I’ve never seen this guy before. He has some good takes on things. But he is angry. Too excited at least. I get it. I can say these things because I play in this world. I own a lot of cameras. I don’t need any more. And I’m happy. The companies aren’t making me buy anything and I am more than happy with what I have received made by Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Fuji, Minolta, Yashica, Zeiss, Sony, Panasonic, Kodak, Polaroid and a multitude of others. The technology has been amazing. But you need to understand it to make decent purchase decisions. You have to research.
