A missile strike kills two people in the village of Przewodów in eastern Poland. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that it was a “Russian-made missile” and summons the Russian ambassador to provide an explanation. (Reuters) 

United States President Joe Biden says that preliminary information suggests that it was “unlikely” that the missile that caused an explosion in Poland was fired from Russia. Polish President Andrzej Duda had earlier said that his government has no concrete evidence on who fired the missile, which he described as a “one-off” incident. (NPR)  

According to U.S. officials cited by the Associated Press, initial findings suggest that the missile that hit Poland was fired by Ukrainian forces at an incoming Russian missile. (Reuters)
