A missile strike kills two people in the village of Przewodów in eastern Poland. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that it was a “Russian-made missile” and summons the Russian ambassador to provide an explanation. (Reuters) 

United States President Joe Biden says that preliminary information suggests that it was “unlikely” that the missile that caused an explosion in Poland was fired from Russia. Polish President Andrzej Duda had earlier said that his government has no concrete evidence on who fired the missile, which he described as a “one-off” incident. (NPR)  

According to U.S. officials cited by the Associated Press, initial findings suggest that the missile that hit Poland was fired by Ukrainian forces at an incoming Russian missile. (Reuters)

Thousands of demonstrators march nationwide against the proposal of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the president of Mexico, to reform the autonomous National Electoral Institute. Three Israelis are killed and three are wounded after a Palestinian militant carries out a vehicle-ramming attack and mass stabbing in Ariel, West Bank. (Times of Israel)

Turkish interior minister Süleyman Soylu says that 46 people, including the person who planted the bomb, have been detained. Süleyman also accused the Kurdistan Workers’ Party of the attack. (Al Jazeera) 

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) strikes the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan in Koy Sanjaq, Kurdistan Region, Iraq, with four missiles, killing at least one person. The IRGC says it “targeted terrorist groups” with missiles and drones. (Al Jazeera)

The United Kingdom and France sign a revised border control agreement to stop migrant boats from crossing the English Channel amid record numbers making the crossing. The deal will see officers patrolling the French coast rising from 200 to 300, while British police officers will be embedded with their French counterparts in control rooms and on beaches. (BBC News)

Israel launches missile strikes on Shayrat Airbase in Homs Governorate, central Syria, killing two soldiers and injuring three others, according to Syrian state television. (Reuters) 

The Islamic Revolutionary Court of Iran issues the first death sentence in connection with the protests. The sentenced person was convicted of burning a government office. (MSN)
