Russian forces shell residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia, killing at least three people, injuring twelve others and causing widespread fires. (Reuters) 

Iran’s IRIB broadcasts forced confessions from two French citizens accused of espionage. This broadcast comes in the context of the Mahsa Amini protests which began in September as well as the claim by the Iranian government that the protests are an attempt by France and other countries such as the United States and Israel to overthrow the current Iranian Islamic government. (The Washington Post) 

Eighteen people are killed, including the town’s mayor, and three others injured, in a mass shooting by the Los Tequileros drug gang at the town hall in San Miguel Totolapan, Guerrero, Mexico. (BBC) 

At least 36 people, including 24 children, are killed and 12 more injured by a dismissed policeman in a mass shooting, which started at a daycare centre in Na Klang district, Thailand. The perpetrator commits suicide. (AP)
